Yumi was about to turn to see who it was, when someone held her forward.
"Hey-" was all that Yumi could say before her voice was cut off by someone covering her mouth. She started to struggle; trying to break free from her kidnappers. What's going on, she thought to herself. Then her hands and legs were bound and another cloth went over her eyes. She couldn't see anything.
I've gotta do something now, the boy thought. He heard the girl make a noise before she was abruptly cut off. He burst through the door, slamming it into one of Yumi’s attackers. Five guys. They all have their gifts, thought the boy. One of the men ran toward him, fist made, and swung.
The boy ducked down and swept the man’s leg, he fell, and, hitting the back of his head on the ground, was knocked out. Another man ran at the boy; he slid to his left to dodge him and roundhouse kicked him in the back of his head. The boy stood there and scanned the room. There were three guys left in front of him, all of them looked ready for a fight. One of them stepped back and, from the inside of his sleeves, a hook attached to a chain slithered out. The other two also began to draw their weapons. One expertly slide out a katana from his back while the other pulled two wakizashi from the sheaths that were hidden on his sides.
Interesting, the boy thought, rushing forward with a lunge at the man with a katana. The man moved to his right to avoid the attack, while the man with the wakizashis rushed to his aid. The boy dodged the oncoming flurry of knives and slammed his foot down on the knife wielder to hold him in place. Then he grabbed his left fist with his right and pushed forward to slam his elbow into the side of the man's head.
The man fell backwards and sprawled on the floor, the boy ducked out of the way of a slice from the katana man. He looked to his left just as soon as a hook was hurled into his face. He reacted in a split second, moving his head and feeling the rush of wind as the hook brushed safely past his face. He grabbed the chain and used it to deflect a swing from the katana when he was knocked off balance by the chain retracting back to its caster. Losing my edge, gotta finish this soon, the boy thought, as he grabbed a firm hold on the chain. He was pulled towards the caster right before a slice from the katana landed where he had just been.
With the built up momentum of being pulled towards the man, the boy punched him with a right hook. The man fell over onto the ground unmoving. The boy looked back at the katana man and the man returned the glare. Both of them stood there looking at eachother for the whole of 5 seconds. Then the katana wielder gripped his weapon tightly then ran towards the boy. The boy charged at him as well. He slid on his knees as the blade soared overhead, jumped up moving to the right to dodge a return swing from the man. Then he threw his fist right into the center of the man's face, sending him backwards to the floor. The boy stood in place for a split second and looked at the desk lady. She paused there for a moment, a stern look in her eyes. Then she ran into the corridor behind the desk.
